But one thing I often realize, is that when I’m home in the US, I feel in a state of heightened anxiety, and social media constantly reminds me of the dangers of travel, regardless of what is actually happening. I try to limit news and just … be. The same goes when I travel. I make decisions based on research, with the intent to be safe and aware. And then I go with an open mind, faith and a belief that generally people all over the world are curious, goodhearted and want connection and conversation.

2025 was quite the year! Here's my 2025 Travel Wrapped! I led 5 group trips and made it to Asia (Japan specifically) for the first time. I also took a couple solo trips (Costa Rica and Mexico City) and also a mother daughter trip to Puerto Rico. Aside from visiting new and familiar places, and learning about them, I learned a lot about myself. In fact I always think that is what truly makes travel special.
